Educational Workshops

MCC (Manchester Chinese Centre) Workshops
Since 2007 we have run Chinese educational workshops in local mainstream schools, Community Centres, Universities and Museums across Manchester. After many years of experience and efforts, we have developed a series of rich and colourful themed workshops such as:- History, Storytelling, Tai Chi, Martial Arts, Lion Dance, Dragon Dance, Calligraphy, Language, Song, Chinese Cookery, Traditional Art and Craft etc. There is a wide choice of workshops available to suit your specific needs and interest.
Many different kinds of Traditional Chinese Artworks fully reflect the Chinese nation's understanding and pursuit of beauty. In recent years, it is astonishing how Chinese Traditional Arts and Crafts have spread around the world.
At MCC, we aim to encourage children to have fun while they are learning. Nothing makes a subject more alive and memorable than when it is fun studying it. With this in mind, a wide range of activities are included in the workshops. The Chinese-based workshops include Language and Calligraphy, Chinese Sports, Chinese Dance, Creative Activities and Chinese History. All our workshops are suitable for all ages, and our teachers adapt their skills to suit different levels.
